Cebu 2018 (Day 2: Whale Shark Watching- Tumalog Falls- Sumilon Island)

We left our accommodation around 3 am for our 2nd day tour in Cebu.

We rode a bus at Cebu South Bus Terminal going to Oslob with a signboard via Bato. Travel time from Cebu South Bus Terminal to Oslob was around 4 hours. Bus fare from Cebu South Bus Terminal to Oslob was around 170-180 Php.

Here’s our itinerary for our 2nd day in Cebu:

*Whale Shark Watching
*Tumalog Falls
*Sumilon Island

After 4 hours of travel, we finally reached the Whale Shark Briefing Station. We paid 500 Php each. Snorkeling gear and life vest was already included in the package.

We left our things in a store near the briefing station and paid 30 Php per locker.

Before you can encounter the Whale Shark, you are required to attend an orientation to know the do’s and don’ts during the encounter with the gentle giant.

I was really stunned on how huge the Whale shark was. It was really gentle and beautiful.

Meeting the Gentle Giant was really unforgettable and struggle that’s why I don’t have any single cool photos with the creature. 😂 HAHAHA

The current of the water around the Whale shark watching area was strong and I really don’t like the smell around the Whale shark watching area.

Whale shark watching was good for 30 minutes only and spending 30 minutes of my life meeting the very beautiful gentle giant of Cebu was super worth it!

Our next stop was Tumalog Falls. We rented a multi-cab for 60 Php each roundtrip from Whaleshark briefing station to Tumalog falls to the private resort where our boat going to Sumilon Island was docking.

Upon arrival at the entrance of Tumalog Falls, you needed to rent a habal-habal going to the main falls for 50 Php round trip. You can also walk if you want to.

Entrance fee at Tumalog Falls was 20 Php.

The beauty of the falls was very unique. When I was creating our itinerary for Cebu, I make sure to research thoroughly about the place that we are going to visit and since then I became very excited and interested with Tumalog Falls.

The falls did not fail me and it really exceeded my expectation. It was very beautiful and stunning.

After spending an hour enjoying the water of the falls and taking a lot of photos, we finally decided to go to our last stop for the day.

Next stop: Sumilon Island

Sumilon Island was my top spot during my South Cebu visit next was Tumalog Falls and my top 3 was the breathtaking Osmeña Peak. Though, I have my favorites, for me, my South Cebu experience was super worth it and priceless.
My friends and I joined a Sumilon tour for 1500 Php for five persons already. Travel time from the private resort where our boat was docking to Sumilon Island was less than 30 minutes only.
